About us

Mission of the European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps brings together young people to build a more inclusive society, supporting people in vulnerable situations and responding to societal challenges. It offers an inspiring and empowering experience for young people who want to help, learn and develop.

We are all somehow involved in the finnish culture scene mainly through dance, music, hiphop, art, photograph and culture producement. We want to bring people together through creativity and open up the platform for everybody to discover the beauty we see in the things we do!

Siiri Korkeamäki

Siiri (she/her) is a dancer and event producer from KOOKOOCEE breaking crew and studying to become a bachelor of social services. She wants to work with and for the people towards social justice, diversity and equity.
These values, curiosity and community move her to create and share.

In SolidArt Fest she has been part of the visual team, content decisions and writing the safer space guidelines <3

Arttu Rintakumpu

Arttu aka R2ISDJ2 (he/him) is a familiar face in the Jyväskylä hip hop scene for past 10 years now. While running a record store Kaivos and teaching DJ:ing & music production R2 is also releasing own music, mixtapes, organizing events and doing gigs.

SolidArt Fest -team is a special group of young artist and Arttu is a proud member of the team!

Mariia Niemi

Mariia (she/her) is a event producer and contemporary artist, also soon to be graduate of culture management from Humak University of Applied Sciences. Niemi enjoys working with culture events and people who shares same intrests in dance, art and music.

In SolidArt Fest I’m curating the art exhibition, working with the visual team and event program. I’m glad to be doing things that is close to my heart.

Pietari Kauppinen

Pietari aka Kifle (he/him) is a breaker and music enthusiast who was born in Ethiopia and raised in Finland.

My work reflects the values of hip-hop culture and various elements such as community. I see the importance of collaborative efforts and believe in the Each One Teach One concept, where the idea is that everyone has something valuable to contribute to communal activities. At SolidArt Fest, I have been involved in content decisions and budget management!

Katariina Nikkilä

Katariina (she/her) is a culture producer student in HUMAK and an artist who is enthusiastic about photographing, subcultures and activism.

In SolidArt Fest I took part making the project plan for the European solidarity corps, web designing, scouting the performances for the event and being part of the visual team. I will be photographing the event and the upcoming art exhibition – yay!
